Fennell led the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association West Division in scoring. He averaged 25.4 points per game and totalled 458 points for the regular season. His shooting percentage of 52.1 was one of the best in the league.

Fennell is also an OCAA West Division First Team All-Star.

His teammate, forward Andrew Cicuttini (Dundas), was also selected a First Team All-Star. Mountaineer centre Taylor Dowhaniuk (Dundas), who made the Second Team West All-Star Team, was picked as the West Division Defensive Player of the Year.

Dowhaniuk led the OCAA with 77 blocked shots, which were 35 more than anyone else. He was also one of the top rebounders with 163.
