Pool efforts earn Chetrat spot on Canadian swim team
Oakville's Zach Chetrat has been named to Swimming Canada's team for the 2nd FINA World Youth Championships. The 24-member team will travel to Monterrey, Mexico to compete against the world's best youth swimmers from July 8-13.

Ancaster's Scott Dickens picked up another Pan Am swimming medal. Dickens, who now trains at the University of British Columbia, picked a bronze medal when Canada's men's 4X100 medley relay placed third.

Ancaster's Scott Dickens earned Canada's first gold in swimming at the Pan Am Games on Wednesday with a dramatic victory in the men's 100-metre breaststroke. Mathieu Bois of Longueuil, Que., completed a spectacular comeback for the bronze.

Hamilton's Greg Gerum has been selected to compete for Canada in an international swim meet. Gerum, a member of the Hamilton Aquatic Club, will join the 42-member Swimming Canada team for the first ever North American Challenge Cup.
