Van Es looking ahead to next season's NASCAR Canadian series
Stoney Creek's Ron Van Es concluded his 2007 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season with a 16th-place finish at Peterborough's Kawartha Speedway. After qualifying seventh fastest in the field of 25, he was caught up in an early-race accident.

Van Es's strong qualifying run lost in early crash
For the second event in a row, Ron Van Es was involved in an early-race incident that ended his run prematurely. This time, the result was all the more frustrating given that the crash took place on lap 72, after posting the sixth-fastest qualifying time.

Van Es and crew pass on Barrie to prep for Eastern Canada race
The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series resumes on Saturday night at Barrie Speedway, but the #11 team will sit out the event, choosing to focus on the inaugural NASCAR race at Riverside Speedway in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, next weekend.
