The Hamilton Thunderbirds are a member of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL). The IBL features nine Southern Ontario teams that compete in a 36-game regular season that begins in May and concludes with the playoffs for the Jack and Lynne Dominico Trophy in August. The IBL started in 1919 and is celebrating its 88th year of senior baseball in Ontario. The Thunderbirds home games are played at Bernie Arbour Stadium on Upper Kenilworth and Mohawk Road East.

Hamilton travels to Barrie for "home" Intercounty finale
Hamilton played their final "home" game of the season in Barrie on Tuesday night as Bernie Arbour Stadium was unplayable because of rain. The Thunderbirds finish the year in eighth and will meet either London or Guelph in the first round of the playoffs.

Panthers put scare into T-Birds with late charge
Enjoying a 12-3 lead, the T-Birds were three outs away from their 10th senior Intercounty Baseball League win of the season. Kitchener, however, had other ideas and scored seven runs but coming up short, 12-10.

T-Birds upset Baycats to keep IBL playoff hopes alive
Henry Duke drove in three runs as the host Hamilton Thunderbirds closed in on a playoff spot with an 11-8 win over the visiting Baycats. Hamilton (9-24) moved 2 1/2 games ahead of idle Stratford for the final playoff spot.

T-Bird batters stymied by Maple Leafs' pitching
Toronto pounded out 17 hits and rallied from a 5-4 deficit to beat the Hamilton Thunderbirds 12-5 Monday night in Hamilton, the Leafs fourth win in their past five senior Intercounty Baseball League games.

No offence spells defeat for Thunderbirds
Hamilton Thunderbirds bats were silent on Friday night, managing only three hits in a 6-3 loss to the Brantford Red Sox. Four Red Sox pitchers combined their talents to hand the visiting Thunderbirds their 22nd loss against eight wins.
