Hamilton Rugby has a history dating back to 1925. The Hamilton Hornets Rugby Football Club was established in 1954, and has enjoyed many championships and titles over the years. Since 1979, the Hornets have had a clubhouse located at Mohawk Sports Complex. The Senior Men's team play in the intermediate division for the Niagara Rugby Union (NRU). The Junior division has boys' teams at U18, U16, U14 and a non-contact co-ed program for U12s. More information on the Hamilton Hornets can be found at www.hamiltonrugby.com.

Thunder hopefuls making noise during rugby tryouts
The Niagara Rugby Thunder will play an exhibition match on Sunday, in preparation for the 2007 Rugby Canada Super League. The team, which generally draws players from the Niagara Rugby Union, has recently been holding tryouts.

Hornets first XV on verge of record breaking rugby season
The Hamilton's Hornets First 15 are shooting for an undefeated season in Niagara Rugby Union play and a record setting points for/against showing. The Hornets top the Senior B division with an 8-0 record.

Niagara Wasps show sharper sting than Hamilton Hornets 2nd
The Hamilton 2nds learned that size does matter. Playing against a much bigger team in the Niagara Rugby Union's Men's C Division, the Hornets were shutout 34-0 by the Niagara Wasps 2nds on Saturday.

Hamilton Hornets first XV sting Centaurs in stifling heat
The Hamilton Hornets first XV braved stifling heat on Saturday (July 15) to overcome Burlington Centaurs at their home pitch. It was evident from the start that Burlington fielded a much stronger squad than when the two clubs met earlier in the season.
