Established in 2006, the Hamilton Lady Avalanche are a member of the W-League of the United Soccer Leagues (USL). The W-League is the highest level of women's soccer in Canada and the USA, featuring 38 teams in 4 conferences. There are 12-14 games played throughout the summer. The Avalanche home games are played at Brian Timmis Stadium, located next to Ivor Wynne Stadium (on Cannon St. between Melrose and Balsam.) Charging Rhinos chase Lady Avalanche in USL W-League Soccer
Four goals in a span of 28 minutes in the second half buried the Hamilton Avalanche on Saturday. The W-League's fifth place Rochester Rhinos handed the third place Avalanche a 5-0 drubbing before 1,326 spectators in Rochester.

Hot Avalanche short circuits Vermont Voltage in women's soccer
Hamilton Lady Avalanche posted their fifth straight game without a loss on July 1, beating the Vermont Voltage 2-1. The four wins and one tie leaves the women's soccer team in second place in the Eastern Conference's Northern Division.

Avalanche eye third with women's soccer win, tie on weekend
The Hamilton Avalanche have moved to within one point of third place in the USL W-League. Playing less than 24 hours after knotting Laval Comets 1-1 on Saturday night, the Avalanche blanked the Ottawa Fury 2-0 on Sunday.

Hamilton Lady Avalanche roll over Vermont Voltage
It took Amanda Douglas and her Avalanche teammates just 11 minutes to set the tone for their W-League game. Douglas scored her first goal as an Avalanche and seven minutes later Danya Barsalona scored her first of two.

Lady Avalanche score four against Canadians for first road win
The Hamilton Lady Avalanche scored four times against the Sudbury Canadians to earn another W-League win, and their first win on the road. Avalanche Keepers Stacey Van Boxmeer and Nicole Mercer made a total of 10 saves.

Hamilton Avalanche kick three goals in winning debut
The Hamilton Avalanche made their home debut in the USL W-League a successful one, downing the Sudbury Canadians 3-0 to register their first win of the season.
