Ticats swing the axe and heads are rolling

Already the axe has swung and heads are rolling. Hamilton Ticats started training camp for the 2006 Canadian Football League season on Sunday by releasing quarterback Jon Beutjer and wide receiver Steve Suter. The two didn’t pass their physicals.

And while offensive lineman Pascal Cheron and linebackers Chris Ball and Brian Oddi were healthy enough, the club suspended the trio. No reasons were given by the club. The first practice of the Ticats 2006 training camp will take place on May 22 at 4:00pm on the practice field at McMaster University. The practices are open to the public.
