Welcome to Hamilton Scores, a web site devoted exclusively to sport and athletes in and from Hamilton, Ontario – and the surrounding Golden Horseshoe area.
Independently founded in 2006, our mission has been to recognize the achievements of the many amateur athletes and sports that, in our opinion, aren’t given the coverage they deserve by local, traditional media outlets.
Through the site, we relay sports news to Hamiltonians, and to international audiences through Google News, Twitter, and other online syndicates.
All of our news for the web site comes from contributions of sport coaches, managers, leaders and enthusiasts in the Hamilton area. We do not “lift” stories from other media organizations in the area or from wire services. We try to be fair about representing anyone who brings us a sport related story, whether it be a list of results or a press release. And if we don’t cover it, it’s either because no one told us about it or not enough information was available.

Denis LeBlanc
Denis has been involved in the local sports scene for many years, as a former reporter and sports editor with The Hamilton Spectator. He likes to consider himself an athlete, participating in local baseball and curling leagues. But generally, it’s much better if his athletic achievements remain lost in media coverage. Denis is the face of Hamilton Scores; he reviews and edits each story received before it is published.
Sean Healy
Sean is president and senior consultant of Healix Computing Solutions, a IT consulting company located in Hamilton. He is responsible for both hosting and maintaining the web site. His jobs include posting the stories, editing photos, monitoring the Twitter account, and maintaining the sponsored ads which help to offset our costs.
