Welcome to Hamilton Scores, a web site devoted exclusively to sport and athletes in and from Hamilton, Ontario – and the surrounding Golden Horseshoe area. Founded in 2006, our mission has been to recognize the achievements of the many amateur athletes and sports that, in our opinion, aren’t given the coverage they deserve by local, traditional media outlets. Through the web site, we relay sports news to both Hamiltonians, and to international audiences through Google News and other syndicates.

I’ve been involved in the local sports scene for many years, as a former reporter and sports editor with The Hamilton Spectator. I like to consider myself an athlete but generally, it’s much better if my athletic achievements remain lost in media coverage.

All of our news for the web site comes from contributions of sport coaches, managers, leaders and enthusiasts in the Hamilton area. And if we don’t cover it, it’s because no one told us about it.
