Canadian juniors rebound against United States in basketball exhibition

DALLAS – Oakville’s Scott Brittain wasn’t among Canada’s top scorers but he did his job limiting the United States scoring.

The Oakville Iroquis Ridge high school product, Joseph Sacres of Hansworth Secondary School in North Vancouver, and Devoe Joseph led the Canadians in rebounding with six each in their 68-66 exhibition series win at the Global Games on Tuesday.

Pickering (Ont.) guard Joseph was the top Canadian scorer for the second game in a row tallying 21 points. Complementing Joseph in double-digits was fellow Ontario (Toronto) guard, Junior Cadougon and B.C. centre Robert Sacré with 16 and 11 points respectively.

The Canadians led 15-14 at the quarter but trailed 36-35 at the half. At the end of the third quarter Canada was on top 47-46.
