Thunderbirds postponed due to poor field conditions

Hamilton Thunderbirds have had their problems beating the opposition this year.

Wednesday night the senior Intercounty Baseball League team was beaten by the weather. Poor field conditions caused by a day of rain forced a postponement of the T-Birds game with the Stratford Nationals at Bernie Arbour Stadium.

No makeup date has been set. Hamilton’s next game is Friday, July 14 when the 10-19 Thunderbirds travel to London for a date with the 19-10 Majors.

Rain also cancelled the Brantford Red Sox-Guelph Royals game which will be played on July 19.

In the only game that did get played, Toronto Maple Leafs needed 12 innings to beat the Oshawa Dodgers, 8-5.
