On Saturday at Fletcher’s Field in Markham, it was a determined McMaster team led by captain Mike Pletch that was not willing to surrender the Turner Trophy to Western.

With the score tied 10-10 heading into the final minutes, McMaster had a number of opportunities from inside five metres, but the Mustangs held their ground. After the Marauders narrowing missed scoring on two prior attempts, wing James Wood (Oakville) broke free and battled his way over the line to score the game-winning try.
