Returnee wastes little time making impression for new Red Wings teammates

In only his second game back as a Hamilton Junior Red Wings, Kyle Jukosky is making up for lost time.

The 18-year-old native of Ridgeway, Ont., scored a hat trick to lead the Wings to a 7-2 win over the Mississauga Chargers. Jukosky returned to the Red Wings after playing in the Ontario Major Junior A League.

Hamilton also got goals from Marc Hagel, Zac Rinaldo, Josh Van Dyk, and Steve Mullin. Hagel and Rinaldo added two assists to their goals while Tommy Cole, and Wes Consorti each had two helpers in the one-sided affair. Hamilton outshot Mississauga 49-15 in picking up its 26th win of the season.

The Red Wings remain in third place in the West
Division with 56 points, three back of second place Brampton Capitals and four back of division leading Oakville Blades. That sets up Saturday’s game at the Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena on Saturday night when the Capitals visit for a 7:30 p.m. game.

For goalie Cam Talbot, Monday night’s win the win was his 16th of the season, against three losses and two ties. He has a 2.05 goals-against average, fifth best overall in the 35-team Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League.
