Two teams from Lansing, Michigan, will test Stoney Creek’s Battlefield Babe Ruth clubs this weekend.
The Cal Ripken Capital City Americans 11-and-Unders and the 15-and-Under teams will play several games, and participate in various competitions. The group will also attend the Blue Jays game at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on Saturday.
The weekend will begin on Friday with the 15-Under Americans taking on the Babe Ruth Blaze at 6pm at Stoney Creek’s Heritage Park. At 6:30pm at Collegiate School, the visitors 11-Under play the Battlefield Cal Ripken Nationals.
The competition continues on Saturday with the 15-Under Michigan team going against the Battlefield Trailblazers at 9am at the Collegiate School diamond. Then it’s off to see Major League Baseball, with the Washington Nationals versus the Toronto Blue Jays at 1pm. The day will finish with a BBQ and a pitch, hit, and run competition at Collegiate School.
Baseball is back on the menu Sunday at 9am with the Under-11 Americans and the Battlefield Cal Ripkens playing at Collegiate. The weekend will wrap up with the American Under-15s playing the Trailblazers at 11am at Collegiate.
