Olympian Cindy Ishoy, of Jerseyville, managed a seventh place finish in a division of the recent CDI–W New England Dressage Fall Festival, held in Saugerties, N.Y.
Competing in the Grand Prix Freestyle event, Ishoy, rode down the centerline with Proton (Patriarch x Rosenkavalier), a 10-year-old Baden Wurttemberg gelding to score 67.100% for seventh place.
Canadian double Olympian Ashley Holzer, a current resident of New York City, won both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle at the show. Riding Pop Art (Amsterdam x Cabouchon), a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Holzer and Ian Nicoll, Holzer scored 70.708% in the Grand Prix test. The duo then performed their popular freestyle to earn 73.550% for the double victory.
Jacqueline Brooks from Mount Albert, ON, and Gran Gesto (Grannox x Goldstern), an 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding earned back-to-back sixth place finishes in both the Grand Prix (66.250%) and the Grand Prix Freestyle (67.250%).
