Eight Stoney Creek errors paved the way for a 9-2 setback that gave the Stratford Indians their second junior Intercounty Baseball League win of the season.
The loss was Stoney Creek’s eighth again three losses. Stratford is last in the seven-team loop and the T-Birds are sixth.
Kyle Hesse got the win pitching seven strong innings with two strikeouts and not allowing any runs in the June 11 game. Matt Loughridge took the lose only lasting two innings, with one strikeout. Hesse also dominated at the plate, 4-5 with three runs-batted-in.
The T-Birds are back in action on Monday (June 16) when the fifth-place Guelph Silvercreeks (4-9) visit Bernie Arbour Stadium for a 7.30 p.m. game.
