Junior football Braves blow into Ivor Wynne while sod settles

Friday’s (Aug. 15) OFC game between the Hamilton Hurricanes and the Burlington Braves has been moved from Burlington’s Nelson Stadium. Nelson’s field was re-soded this year and the recent heavy rains have left it unplayable.

The Braves home game will now be played at Hamilton’s Ivor Wynne Stadium with the Hurricanes the visitors.

This is the first time the revived Hamilton Hurricanes’ franchise is playing close to home, reviving the rivalry with Burlington. However, as this is a Braves home game, season tickets for the Hamilton Hurricanes’ cannot be used for this game.

Kickoff is 7 p.m.
