St. Mary’s quartet serves warning on squash court

Hamilton’s St. Mary Secondary School had four novice squash players finish in the top rounds of their divisions at the recent Jim Mason High School Squash Championships held in Concord, Ont.

Mitch Wasson of Waterdown placed 11th overall out of the 64 players in the Boys Unranked division. Mark Lennox and Kodi Graham, both of Dundas, played some hard fought matches to finish in the second round of the same division.

Mikaila Nederveen of Dundas finished in the Girls Silver Bracket and defeated more experienced players in coming very close to making her way through the draw of 35 to the top eight.

The Crusader team was coached by St. Mary alumnus Tyler Hamilton of Dundas, the 2007 Senior Athlete of the Year and a world ranked professional squash player on the Professional Squash Association World tour.
