Marauders making their mark in the CFL

McMaster leads the Canadian Interuniversity Sport for players competing in the Canadian Football League.

McMaster has a CIS leading 11 players, with the University of Regina placing second with eight players followed by the University of Laval, University of Manitoba, Queen’s University, St. Mary’s University and the University of Saskatchewan with seven players.

McMaster’s contributions to the CFL include:

Jason Arakgi (S), BC,
Matt O’Meara, Saskatchewan.

Chris van Zeyl (DL) is on the practice roster of the Toronto Argonauts.

Mike Botterill (LB), Tristan Clovis (S), Fabio Filice (OL) and Chris Vrantsis (LS) retired from the CFL prior to the 2009 season.

McMaster has placed 65 players in the CFL dating back to 1926.
