The Hamilton Bulldogs were blanked 1-0 by the Houston Aeros on Wednesday night in front of 2,485 fans. This was the first time this season the ‘Dogs were shutout and suffered back-to-back losses in regulation.
Following two scoreless periods, Houston broke the tie with a goal at 1:09 of the final frame. Maxim Noreau fired a shot that bounced off a few players in front of the Bulldogs’ net. Jean-Michel Daoust grabbed the loose puck before skating to the right side of the ice and firing a shot past a sprawled Hamilton goaltender Cedrick Desjardins.
Houston Aeros goaltender Anton Khudobin turned aside 26 shots for his league-leading fourth shutout of the season. Desjardins stopped 24 of 25 shots in the loss.
The Bulldogs travel to Cleveland to battle the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday (Nov. 27) at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday (Nov. 28) at 1 p.m.
