Oakville Sheridan got the second half of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association men’s basketball schedule off to an impressive start. The Bruins posted a pair of wins as they defeated Algoma and Sault.
In a 90-67 win over Algoma, Greg Osawe scored a game-high 23 points for the Bruins, while teammates Khalid Abdel-Gabar and Kareem Malcolm chipped in 20 and 18 points respectively. Cory Cooper scored 22 points to lead the Bruins to a 104-39 win over Sault. The Bruins line-up had five players, in addition to Cooper, score in double figures.
The results left the Bruins with an 8-2 record.
Niagara Knights got a 21-point effort from Lamar Grant to down St. Clair Saints 83-69. The Knights evened their record at 5-5.
