The Intercounty Baseball League’s senior Hamilton Thunderbirds are keeping a watchful eye on the weather. And Mother Nature apparently isn’t a baseball fan.
TheT-Birds home and season opener, postponed from last Sunday (May 2) because of poor field conditions and inclement weather, and rescheduled for last night (May 7) again fell victim to rain.
That game against the London Major will be rescheduled but in the meantime the Thunderbirds hope to get their season underway today (Saturday) in Mississauga against the Twins at 2 p.m. Hamilton will return home on Sunday for the ArcelorMittal Dofasco Family and Friends Opening Day Ceremonies when they will face the IBL’s newest team, the Ottawa Fatcats…weather permitting.
The first pitch is set for 2 p.m.
Tickets for all Hamilton Thunderbirds home games are available at the Bernie Arbour Stadium Box Office on game day.
