The Hamilton Thunderbirds and the Toronto Maple Leafs of the Intercounty Baseball League will play game two of the inaugural Terry Steeves Cup Baseball Tournament on Sunday Aug. 15th in Bernie Arbour Stadium starting at 5 p.m.
Admission to the game will be free but fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item that will be donated to a local food bank.
The first game, which was played on Sunday, Aug. 8 in Dominico Field at Christie Pits, saw Toronto shutout Hamilton 3-0.
Toronto finished the regular season in second place with a 23-13 won-lost record while Hamilton grabbed the last playoff spot in the nine-team league with a 12-24 record. Both teams were eliminated from post season play after the first round.
Terry Steeves coached in the Intercounty for more than 30 years with both the Toronto Maple Leafs and Hamilton Cardinals (now Thunderbirds).
