Mohawk runners get first test at x-country meet


Mohawk cross country coach Wayne Collins says all of his runners had a good day on the course at the first invitational meet of the season at St. Lawrence College in Cornwall on Saturday (Sept. 18).

Two men and two women made the trip.

In the women’s five kilometre event, Sandi Bryce finished 14th in 25:43.5, while Mountaineer teammate Brittany Russell was 22nd in 28:10.8. The winning time was 20:38.9

The men’s event was eight kilometres in length and Mohawk’s Josh Lamb was 23rd in 34:12.2 while Luc Segin finished 27th, timed in 36:30.7 The winner was clocked in 28:51.4.
