Top x-country spot goes to Mac


McMaster’s women’s cross country team is ranked number one in Canada. The Marauders topped the first Canadian Interuniversity Sport cross-country running rankings of the season released Tuesday (Sept 28).

McMaster (89.2 points) edged Guelph (86.9) in the inaugural rankings after claiming the team title last Saturday at the Western International thanks to a four-point lead over the Gryphons. McMaster had a program best bronze medal finish at the 2009 CIS championship and the Guelph women claimed a CIS-record fifth straight national banner last fall.
