Bantam Cards fail to keep Badgers buried

Hamilton Cardinals Major Bantam starting pitcher Justin O’Reilly gave up only one run in the top of the first and then shut down the London Badger offence for six and two third innings.

Unfortunately the Cardinal bats migrated south for this game, due in large part to the strong arm of the Badger pitcher which led to a 4-0 London win in Inter-County Baseball Association action.

And when Christian Nunez took the mound for the Cards in the sixth, the Badger batters scored three runs, more than enough for the win.

“This was a pitcher’s dual,” said coach Rich Minken of the Cardinals. “Defensively, we were fine but they got to our bullpen” he said.
