Forward Andreas Engqvist has been returned to the Hamilton Bulldogs from the parent Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League.
Engqvist, 23, has played in eight games for Montreal this season, posting one shot, a plus-one rating, two penalty minutes and 6:24 minutes average time on ice. The 6-foot-4, 199-pound forward has played in seven games with the American Hockey League Bulldogs this season, posting five points (3 goals, 2 assists), 11 shots, a plus-two rating and six penalty minutes.
The native of Stockholm was signed as a free agent by the Habs in 2009 after playing for Djurgarden of the Swedish Elite League.
The Bulldogs continue their home stand on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. when they face the Adirondack Phantoms at Copps Coliseum.
