Bulls give Major Peewee Cardinals a rough ride

It was a rough outing for pitcher Tyler Whalen and his Major Peewee Hamilton Cardinals teammates who started their Central Ontario Baseball Association regular season on Monday (May 7).

The Cards were on the short end of a 13-1 score, losing to the Bulls in Burlington.

Starting pitcher Whalen went one-plus innings, yielding five earned runs from one hit and seven walks. Kole Bishop came on in relief and surrendered eight earned runs on 11 hits, including a two-run home run.

Michael Ssemanda drove in the lone Hamilton run. Noah Britt and Matt Porkolab contributed to the Cards offence.

Hamilton won its lone pre-season game, 17-12 against Kitchener.
