Connor delivers the Goodes for Cardinals

The Minor PeeWee AAA Hamilton Cardinals improved their record to 2-0 by defeating the Mississauga Bengals, 12-8, at Mohawk Sports Park on a chilly Wednesday night (May 9).

Connor Goodes got the Central Ontario Baseball Association win, giving up four earned runs on one hit, five walks and one strikeout in two innings of work.

Starter Jared Hill pitched two innings allowing two earned runs on three hits and two walks. Steven LeMay pitched the final inning allowing two earned runs on one hit, four walks and three strikeouts.

At the plate, Lemay went three-for-three with two runs batted in and scoring twice, Jordan Simpson added three RBI and was two-for-three while scoring twice. Ian Jordan, Ben Woodhouse, Jared Hill and George Tsiflikiotis each added one RBI.

The team plays again on Thursday in Mississauga against the North Tigers.
