Peewee Cards conjure up a little Magdic

In tough and cold conditions, Ryan Magdic pitched a gem to lead the Hamilton Cardinals Minor Pee Wee AAA team to a 4-3 win over the Mississauga North Tigers in Central Ontario Baseball Association league play. The win left the Cards with a perfect 3-0 record in the early going.

Magdic pitched five innings, allowing three runs (one earned) from seven hits while he struck out four without relinquishing a walk. Magdic threw 57 of 80 pitches for strikes.

Jared Hill came in to pick up the save.

At the plate, Magdic was two-for-two with a walk, Jordan Simpson was one-for-one with a walk, and Steven Lemay was one-for-three. Joel Wallace, Connor Goodes and George Tsiflikiotis each cashed in RBIs,

The Cards will be hosts to the Oakville A’s at home Wednesday night at Mohawk Sports Park.
