Dawdy, Duffey combine to badger Brock

St. Catharines – The McMaster women’s soccer team is proving to be a very stingy outfit in Ontario University Athletics play.

For the fourth consecutive game the Marauders held the opposition scoreless, this time blanking the Brock Badgers, 3-0, for their fourth win of the season on Friday (Sept. 20).

Veteran Tara Dawdy (Burlington) got the hat trick in the win, giving her five goals in seven games, second best in the OUA. She leads the league in shots with 15.

McMaster sits in second place in the West division and plays the first play Golden Hawks on Sunday, 1 p.m. at Laurier.

On Friday, just before the end of the first half, Dawdy scored her first goal of the game at the 40th minute mark. She scored again at the 51st minutes and completed the triplet in the 77th minute.

For goalkeeper Brittany Duffey (Markham) it was her fifth shutout of the season.
