Transway U12 girls score third basketball title

The Transway Major Atom (under-12) girls remain undefeated in tournament play after capturing their own 30th Annual Transway Basketball Invitational.

The AAA title was the third this season for the Major Atom girls.

Some of the top teams in Ontario from Chatham, Toronto, Stoney Creek, and Dundas battled adverse weather to reach Hamilton and battle it out in the AAA division. The Transway team is now 12-0 in tournament play.

As the defending AAA provincial champions, Transway hopes to extend its winning streak in their next and final tournament of the season before travelling to Mississauga for the Ontario Cup championships in March. The team would also like to thank their sponsors for their generosity and support: Aerial Promotions; Alliance Chiropractic & Wellness Clinic; and DalTech Computers.

The players are from Ancaster, Burlington, Dundas, Stoney Creek, and Hamilton Mountain.
