Russell swims to bronze for Canada at junior meet

GUAM – Oakville’s Sinead Russell won a bronze medal for one of two Canadian podium finishes Thursday at the Junior Pan Pacific swimming championships. Hassaan Abdel-Khalik of Mississauga won gold in the men’s 200-metre freestyle at the opening of the meet.

Local trio hoping to make a splash for Canada

Three local competitors have been named to Canada’s junior team for the 2009 Jr. Pan Pacific Swimming Championships. Two firsts, a second for Burlington synchro club

Pool efforts earn Chetrat spot on Canadian swim team

Oakville’s Zach Chetrat has been named to Swimming Canada’s team for the 2nd FINA World Youth Championships. The 24-member team will travel to Monterrey, Mexico to compete against the world’s best youth swimmers from July 8-13.

Mac swimmers in sync with Ontario for gold
